use of Hazen-Williams Formula for answering the day to day hydraulics
questions that confront engineers. To complete the course you
will first download your FREE
copy of “SunCam Hydro-Calc" software
product for solving Hazen-Williams Formula problems that runs on
Microsoft Excel ®.
The objective of the course is to give engineers
the ability to use the information that they know about a
problem to solve for
the things that they do not know. This course will provide
useful skills, knowledge and insights for civil, sanitary, mechanical
and engineers of all disciplines.

Good review of the Hazen-Williams formula. The spreadsheet serves as a very helpful stand-alone design tool for those involved in the sizing or evaluation of water piping systems. Very thorough range of example problems that demonstrate H-W calculation options.

A much better course than I have reviewed in the past few months. I like the calculations requirements using the spreadsheet. This is a decent "continuing ed" experience and not just a memorization exercize or gimmick.

Sample problems are clever. Course is well done and requires some thought. Software is very useful....could have used it many times in the past. The software will run on OpenOffice!
