This course covers the calculations required to design Helical Anchor/Pile deep foundation systems. This course is a good introductory course for engineers new to Helical Anchor design and is a good refresher for experienced engineers. The course provides a background and the appropriate formulas for Helical Anchor/Pile foundation design. You will learn about bearing capacity in cohesive and non-cohesive soils for both uplift and compression and determining soil capacity from soil borings as well as the probe method.
