The course was a very good intro to basic electrical engineering fundamentals. It was a little confusing when the figure numbers in the Inductor Behavior While Discharging section did not match the figures and the equation for inductor voltage over time shows V sub L instead of V sub C. But no harm no foul.

OK but could have been better by way of more fundamentals rather than getting into some of the esoteric issues.
We are required to offer only courses that rise to the level of engineering. A "handyman" course would not meet that requirement.

Good review of basic electrical theory. DC and AC circuits were well covered. The later portion where reactances/impedances were covered could have more detail in it...for example the phasor concept was introduced but not defined (in words anyway). Also, the frequency in the first reactance formula was not defined (I was able to figure it out later). Implications of these devices, i.e., where they are used in something practical, could have been talked about in a paragraph. Also a discussion of 3 phase power would have been useful.

Review of SunCam COurse # 201 - Electrical Engineering Fundamentals for Non-Electrical Engineers
Good course for basic EE dc & single phase ac circuit fundamentals. Got into some esoteric imaginary math required for analyzing some basic ac components. Having done this should have covered the basic calcs associated with 3 phase ac circuits. Could have covered some applications examples as well as ac & dc circuit safety considerations, step voltage, the unique dangers associated with higher voltage dc, etc.

Very thorough and understanable
I missed one question--#19, and that was because of ambiguity in the wording of the question. When you ask, "The discharging inductor will attempt to keep current flowing in the same direction (True or False). You should specify the branch you are referring to--the branch with the inductor (same direction), or the branch with the resistor (reverse direction).

I thought this was an excellent course up to the section on imaginary numbers and impedance. In my opinion, the subject matter as presented is really too complex for non-electrical engineers. I spent more time trying to understand this material than all of the rest of the course. Still, the course is well written and well illustrated. Note that the figure numbers on pages 21 and 22 are incorrect.
