The course was well presented except several words were misspelled, most apparently due to spellcheck not recognizing the appropriate applications, ie... "and" instead of "an" and lack of accurate proofreading. In spite of this, I did enjoy the subject matter. I've felt a need to know more about the technical aspects of waterway dredging operations and this introductory course responded to the need.

Good intro/primer for dredging activities. Photographs are helpful. Some of the schematics and line drawing labels are blurry with insufficient resolution. Course materials should be reviewed and basic spelling/grammatical mistakes should be corrected by a tech editor.

This is an excellent basic course in dredging. The only confusing item is that it seems to indicate that a hopper dredge is a different class. It should plainly state that all dredges are either hydraulic or mechanical. Other than that, I would recommend this course to anyone that would like a basic knowledge of dredging.

I guessed at question # 23 and got it right.......but this is not addressed in the written material, you say the answer is in last paragraph on page 34, I say where? Besides, standard contracting protocol does not allow the engineer or surveyor to tell the operator what to do, you tell the owner or job superintendent, he's supervising the operator! Overall the course is very good.......but get rid of question 23.

Course material was presented logically and orderly. The course provided a good foundation that helped in the understanding of dredging basic principles. The test closely followed the subject matter. HIghly recommend this course.

Very informative; could be longer
This course has very good production quality and is well rounded. The author's communication style is excellent and easy to follow. I'd prefer that the course be slightly longer but the subject depth is adequate considering the broad topic.

This is an excellent introduction course for engineers involved in dredging. I also found it very beneficial as a refresher course. This course covers the basics from type of dredges to disposal alternatives and bathymetric surveying methods.

This course is a good basic introduction to the world of dredging. It describes commonly used methods and equipment and identifies potential pitfalls which can occur on a dredging project. I am looking forward to the additional topics forthcoming in this series.
